The constellation
What is the constellation in the sky tonight?
What coveted objects have made this sight?
Which humans have found their fitting place there?
The sky is full with many, yet how lonely they are!
From the zenith to the abysmal, I have looked for you;
You are nowhere; have you found your abode there too?
As we watched the shooting stars disappear in childish mirth,
We hardly knew, we'd never meet again on this familiar earth!
All the ancient humans that know me peep through their own light,
In this cold dew, I long for the lost warmth of those faces bright.
What coveted objects have made this sight?
Which humans have found their fitting place there?
The sky is full with many, yet how lonely they are!
From the zenith to the abysmal, I have looked for you;
You are nowhere; have you found your abode there too?
As we watched the shooting stars disappear in childish mirth,
We hardly knew, we'd never meet again on this familiar earth!
All the ancient humans that know me peep through their own light,
In this cold dew, I long for the lost warmth of those faces bright.
My Flight
How many times did we sit together here
As the pale evening melted in your tresses!
We looked at the last flight of the lark
Tired it was, yet happily gliding to the nest!
We talked about the evening, its pale purple hue
We talked about love, we talked about pain and us!
We listened to the bleating of the calf in a distant croft,
The dew dabbed us, we held hands, we forgot our pain!
The peasants had the dream of the harvest in their eyes,
We tucked dreams in our eyes too, you remember?
We dreamed of flying across the vast blue deep,
As the breeze rippled your drape, I looked in your eyes,
We sat with hand in hand, there I saw my flight
It was shimmering in the moist of your eyes!

The Silent Serenade
So many times I walked this lonely path,
So often this sky faded and went out of sight!
Pain came down; I never looked up,
I missed the bellowing of the heifer!
These huddled trees, this lone bird, the cold dew,
All were here; I had my eyes but never saw you!
Now that you tune to my walk, lift your face to see,
This silence sounds like the serenade to me!

THe BURNt LEAVEs
tHE bURNT lEAVES
But here under this winter sky, in the pleasant day,
I walk with your hand in mine,
You whisper into my ears,
Then leave my hand.
You join the warmth of the fire
To take the aroma of the burning leaves
Deep in you!
Here you look at the yellow leaves,
Leaves that are ready to be burnt!
I see you sprouting beyond the season
With the pain of the dying leaves!

tHE mOIST mORNING
We wanted something from the earth,
All the sounds of our love have hushed,
All the light has entered the black hole,
The sky has has reached another sky!
Now the moon has to repay the sun,
We have to repay the earth
Before we get something from it!
In this moist morning of winter!!

wE wILL rEPAY tHE eARTH
How I remember the winter night!
You and I had wandered by the seas, the hills and the plains!
We met the seafarers of the ancient days!
We saw the cities, its people, the temples!
The palaces, the battles, the mutineers!
We saw the inordinate ambition of Macbeth,
The razor sharp marshaling of affairs by his Lady!
We met Hrothgar. Beowulf, Iliad, Hector!
The beautiful Helen and a thousand ships!
So many beautiful faces did we see !
Now the same winter night is here!
Though the sky is vaulted with all our pain and sins,
Though the dew is heavy with all our grief and pain,
I can remember the most beautiful face of the olden time,
Your face, from behind the dark will bring a winter morning;
But we will not forget our pain then,
We will not atone for our sins yet!
We will only love, hold each other's hands,
We will repay the earth the love,
The humanity owes this love to it since ancient time!

But we will not forget our pain then,
We will not atone for our sins yet!
